Mhmmm... my tummy is happy. My recommendations: -Surf & Turf combo -Beef Combo -Pork Combo -Scallops w/ spicy mayo and cheese Been here a total of 4 times and have always left satisfied. The quality of the meat is good but it's not the BEST KBBQ I've ever had. It's also not the MOST flavorful K food but I still enjoy eating here. Great for a casual late night dinner. PROS: -Open late until 2:30am M-S and 11:30pm on Sundays -Food and portions are consistently good -Service is attentive and quick. They cook the food for you. Some are friendlier/more talkative and personable than others but overall service is good! CONS: -Parking is in a small lot so it can get tight. Pretty limited -Pricing is on the higher end... This is NOT an AYCE so I recommend getting the combos for a better bang for your buck as ordering a la carte can add up quick. They also have other traditional Korean dishes and appetizers ranging from ~$17-$40 -Wait times can get long during peak hours so I suggest putting your name on the wait list ahead of time. You can reserve your spot via Google or by scanning a QR code there in person. After coming here 4 times, I would say the beef combo or surf and turf combo are the best on the menu. I've never ordered the traditional dishes so I can't speak on that. The beef combo is advertised for 2 people but... I will admit that if you have a huge appetite you MIGHT still be a bit hungry. The beef is tender and juicy, but not seasoned. So you have to use their sauces or condiments to add an extra kick of flavor. My favorite is the soybean sauce! The surf and turf includes the beef combo with an added steamed clams + assorted seafood (mussels, shrimp, crab). This is advertised for 3-4 people and I have been more than satisfied ordering this with just another person. We eat a lot okay.. LOL. Seafood was good as well (but not the best seafood I've had) and also comes with its own sauces. One of my favorite parts of the combos is the KIMCHI FRIED RICE WITH EGG!!! They use a culinary torch to cook it. Side dishes include kimchi, kimchi radish, two salads (one with a sesame oil dressing and one with a sweet/citrus-y dressing), egg souffle, kimchi tofu soup, jalapenos, soybean paste, and more sauces... I will be a returning customer to try more dishes. I would bump my review to another star if they had an AYCE option or bigger meat portions for the price.

Love this place for its chill social environment. You also don't have to worry about cooking bc they do it all for you. The meat was tasty and fresh, and I think decent sized portion for the price. I think the meat is actually better than their seafood combos, and their fried rice is pretty good. Staff is so nice!! Shouldn't be too much of a wait.

Came here for a family birthday celebration without a reservation and was seated right away! There is also a parking lot right outside the restaurant, which is such a plus. Our servers were great I remember them being very efficient. The restaurant was fairly spacious. The menu, however, was a bit confusing to me, we wanted to have seafood on the grill but ended up ordering the seafood that was already cooked. I wish that was more clear bc each set was decently pricy. Still though the cooked seafood was also delicious! The beef of course was the highlight and it was amazing and tender. We also got the beef tartare, it was good, but parts of it were frozen so would have been nicer if it was thawing a bit longer. My favorite part of the meal was how we got fried rice at the end and there was a flame show! Loved it and would go back to try to the grilled seafood again!

Obaltan is an interesting place where it looks to be a drinking/post-dinner place yet they have great dishes to substitute for dinner. The theatrics behind the clam grilling is a gem as the broth and food will warm up your soul (and belly). The hidden gem at this place is the tteobokki. Something about that flavor and texture is a good balance to cut the briny-ness of the seafood. Definitely a 5/5!

It seems like the specialty here is clams. I've never had clams on a grill before and it was good! Very tender and not chewy like you'd expect. The soup stole the show though. It was perfectly seasoned. The jalapeño slices added the right amount of flavor to the soup.. it gave it a little kick without being actually spicy. The brisket was good as well. I didn't enjoy the mussels- felt they were dry and bland. The shrimp was good though. I wish there was more side dishes.. Went on a weekday night and it was pretty empty. It is a small place and I heard it can get very busy on the weekends. Server was very attentive and stood nearby to cook for us.

This place was so good! We didn't have to cook the food ourselves and I'm so glad I didn't because I'd be overly cautious and probably dry everything up. The price was also very reasonable too. There was enough for two people for $50. They stayed at the table to cook our food basically the entire time. The clams were nice and plump. Although, not that much seasoning for the scallops, there was sauce to make it favorable. It wasn't super busy but this was probably because it was snowing on the day we went. Would definitely go back!

Stopped by for dinner with a large group on a weeknight at 7 pm. When we got there we registered for the digital wait-list, where there were already a few parties ahead of us. Good system they have, but since the establishment is small there isn't a waiting area inside. We got the surf and turf and the seafood combos as well as the gopchang combo. There weren't too many side dishes but we did get two large salads. Seafood combo was primarily clams and muses. Clams were sweet, some were steamed/boiled and others were grilled. The workers cooked our food really quickly. I loved the noodles that we can add on to the soup at the end which really soaked up the fresh seafood flavors. Overall great experience and good calue, but it's not exactly the place to come if you have a larger party. We felt rushed a bit but left feeling happy and full.

Food is amazing. Service is impeccable. Atmosphere is fun and lively of those who want good food and good drinking atmosphere. Prices might seem high to some, but with the amount of food that you get with the sides included, this place is a steal
